Rebecca Dinerstein is an American author whose literary fiction draws readers into intense emotional landscapes. She studied at Yale and the University of East Anglia, and her writing background includes poetry as well as prose.
Her debut novel The Sunlit Night (2015) follows a young painter who retreats to the Norwegian Arctic, where she finds unexpected connections amid the midnight sun. Her second novel Hex (2020) centers on a botanist expelled from her PhD program who becomes entangled in a dangerous fixation on her former advisor. Both books share Dinerstein’s gift for rendering complicated relationships with sharp, precise language.
