Jake Bible’s Z-Burbia series takes the zombie apocalypse out of the cities and drops it into suburban America. Starting with the first book in 2013, the series follows survivors dealing with the undead in what used to be their quiet neighborhoods. Nine books were published between 2013 and 2016, making it a fast-paced run that Bible cranked out in just a few years.
The titles give a good sense of where the story goes. Early entries like Parkway To Hell and Estate Of The Dead keep things close to home, while later books such as Cannibal Road and The Bleeding Heartland push the characters out into a wider, more dangerous world. Rocky Mountain Die and Sisters of the Apocalypse round out the later stretch of the series. Readers who enjoy zombie fiction with a suburban twist will find plenty to work through here.
