Yiyun Li’s short fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies. Her anthology credits include Glimmer Train Stories (2005), Here (2012), and Stories Upon Stories (2014), alongside her regular appearances in The New Yorker, A Public Space, and other magazines.
Glimmer Train Stories #54 is an early credit from 2005, when Li was still building her reputation after emigrating from China and turning to English-language fiction. Here (2012) and Stories Upon Stories (2014) came later, after her story collections A Thousand Years of Good Prayers and Gold Boy, Emerald Girl had already earned critical praise.
