The Xandra Carrick series is Joshua Graham’s flagship thriller franchise. Xandra is a photojournalist who discovers she has a supernatural ability: through her camera, she can see visions that reveal hidden truths. The series began with Darkroom in 2012, which hit three Amazon bestseller lists on its release night and won the International Book Award.
In Darkroom, Xandra returns to New York after scattering her mother’s ashes in Vietnam and begins seeing visions of atrocities committed by American soldiers during the war. She gets pulled into a forty-year-old conspiracy that threatens national political stability. Ghost Image shifts focus to human trafficking when a congressman’s daughter is abducted, and Xandra uses her clairvoyant abilities to track the case. Latent Image raises the stakes further with a biological weapons plot.
The series also includes The Fuhrer’s Daughter, a five-episode serial set in an alternate present-day where Germany won World War II. This serial ties into the broader Xandra Carrick storyline and adds a speculative fiction element to Graham’s thriller framework.
