WWE Superstars is a comic book series that ran from December 2013 to February 2015, published by Super Genius. Mick Foley co-wrote it with Shane Riches, and the art was handled by Alitha Martinez (issues 1-4) and other artists for later arcs. The series ran for 12 issues, collected in three trade paperback volumes.
The first arc, Money in the Bank (issues 1-4), is set in Titan City, a fictional metropolis where John Cena has been framed for a crime he did not commit. Haze of Glory (issues 5-8) follows CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Rey Mysterio as they try to piece together a night of chaos on Monday Night Raw that none of them can remember. Legends (issues 9-12) crosses timelines, pitting current WWE stars like Daniel Bryan and John Cena against legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and The Rock in battles across bizarre settings. The series showcased Foley’s range as a writer, moving from hardboiled crime fiction to amnesia comedy to time-spanning fantasy.
