Suzanne Enoch’s With This Ring trilogy is a set of connected Regency romances published between 2000 and 2001. Each book follows a different couple as they work through the complications of courtship, reputation, and genuine feeling in a society that cares a great deal about appearances. Reforming a Rake starts things off with a hero who has no intention of settling down, Meet Me at Midnight brings a touch of mystery to the romance, and A Matter of Scandal rounds out the trio.
The three books share characters and settings, so reading in order gives you the best experience, though each love story stands on its own. Enoch’s Regency dialogue is sharp and funny, and she does a good job making her heroes likable even when they start out as scoundrels. This was an early series for Enoch, and readers who enjoy her later work will find the same blend of humor and romance already on display here.
