The Wild Wicked Highlanders series is built on a fun premise: a Scottish earl married an English aristocrat, and now their three grown sons have been summoned to London by their mother to find proper English wives. The MacTaggert brothers are more comfortable in kilts than cravats, and watching them collide with London society makes for entertaining reading. Each book follows one brother as he reluctantly goes along with the matchmaking and ends up falling for someone unexpected.
Suzanne Enoch is known for mixing humor with her historical romances, and this series leans into that strength. The punny titles (It’s Getting Scot in Here, Hit Me With Your Best Scot) give a good sense of the tone. The bickering between the brothers and the culture clash between Highlands and London provide plenty of comedy alongside the love stories. The series ran from 2019 to 2021 and includes a bonus novella, Great Scot!, that wraps things up for the family.
