The Wild Side is a darker turn for M.J. Scott, set in a contemporary world where werewolves, vampires, and cat shifters exist alongside ordinary humans. Unlike her other series, which rotate romantic pairings, the Wild Side follows the same couple across all three novels, building a second-chance romance through escalating supernatural danger.
The Wolf Within and The Dark Side both appeared in 2014, with The Day You Went Away serving as a prequel novella published the same year. Bring On The Night arrived in 2021, closing out the trilogy after a seven-year gap. The books lean into the angstier, steamier side of paranormal romance, with pack dynamics, territorial conflicts, and a heroine who refuses to stay out of trouble.
