The Western Lawmen Brides series pairs six mail-order brides with frontier law enforcement officers. Published in 2023, each book is titled with the lawman’s name followed by “Bride”: Tully’s Bride, Cullen’s Bride, Kent’s Bride, Wesley’s Bride, Maynard’s Bride, and Braydon’s Bride.
Marrying a lawman on the frontier meant accepting both the prestige and the danger of the badge. Tanner uses the lawman-bride pairing to create romances where the husband’s duty to protect the community creates tension with his desire to protect his new wife.
