The Big Bounce (2010) is a posthumously published short story by Walter Tevis, who died in 1984. Tevis was primarily a novelist, but he wrote short fiction throughout his career.

This standalone release came out more than 25 years after Tevis’s death, part of a slow trickle of his uncollected work reaching print. The Big Bounce is a science fiction piece, consistent with the genre that produced The Man Who Fell to Earth and Mockingbird.
