U.S. Marshal Ezra Flint is one of Paul L. Thompson’s more focused series, running to eleven books so far. Flint is a hard lawman whose name Thompson uses to good effect in the titles: Hard As Flint, Cold As Flint, Savage Flint, and so on.
The series launched in 2024 and continued into 2025. It has a tighter scope than Thompson’s 100-plus-book marshal epics, which may make it a good entry point for readers who want to try his work without a massive backlog.
