The Underground Knowledge series is a nonfiction project by James and Lance Morcan that grew out of research they did while writing the Orphan Trilogy. Each book takes a single topic from the margins of mainstream discourse and examines it at length. Genius Intelligence (2014) looks at techniques and theories for boosting human cognitive ability. Antigravity Propulsion (2015) surveys claims about anti-gravity technology. International Bankster$ (2015) examines global banking and financial power structures.
Other entries cover the pharmaceutical industry (Medical Industrial Complex), mysterious connections between The Catcher in the Rye and real-world assassins (The Catcher in the Rye Enigma), and third-world economic exploitation (Bankrupting The Third World). The series also includes Vaccine Science Revisited (2019), which questions aspects of vaccine policy. The books are rooted in the Morcans’ broader interest in information that sits outside accepted channels, and readers of their fiction will recognize many of the same themes and reference points.
