Tony Parsons’ non-fiction begins with The Boy Looked at Johnny in 1978, co-written with Julie Burchill when both were teenage journalists at the NME. The book is a famously irreverent account of punk rock’s rise and fall. Later non-fiction includes Big Mouth Strikes Again (1998), a collection of his newspaper columns, and Life, Death and Breakfast (2010), essays on the subjects that matter most.
