Tom Clancy’s Op-Center is a twenty-five-book series that started in 1995 and ran through 2023. The series follows the National Crisis Management Center, known as Op-Center, as it handles military and political crises around the world. The original run of thirteen books established the premise and characters through the mid-2000s.
Dick Couch revived the series with Out of the Ashes in 2014, updating it for modern threats and conflicts. His continuation ran through multiple installments including Into the Fire, Scorched Earth, Dark Zone, Sting of the Wasp, and God of War. The most recent entries, Call of Duty and Fallout, carried the series into 2023. Readers new to Op-Center can start with either the 1995 original or the 2014 relaunch, depending on whether they prefer Cold War-era or contemporary military thrillers.
