The Titans (2016) Collected Editions page gathers Dan Abnett’s Rebirth-era work on both the Titans and Aquaman titles, interleaving the collected volumes from both series as they were originally published. Abnett’s Titans series reunited Wally West with his former Teen Titans colleagues, including Dick Grayson, Donna Troy, Roy Harper, Garth, and Omen, in a story about recovering lost memories and identity in the post-Rebirth DC universe.
Simultaneously, Abnett was writing Aquaman, which he had taken over during the New 52 and continued into Rebirth. The Aquaman volumes collected here begin with The Drowning, which introduced the Black Manta storyline that ran through much of Abnett’s run on the title. The two series are thematically independent but share the Rebirth publishing context, and both reflect Abnett’s interest in ensemble superhero dynamics and character relationships.
The recommended reading order interleaves Aquaman and Titans volumes as listed, since both series were running concurrently. Readers interested only in Titans can skip the Aquaman volumes and vice versa, as the two series do not cross over in the material collected here. Start with the 2017 volumes for whichever character interests you.
