The Timeweb Chronicles is Brian Herbert’s most substantial original science fiction series outside of his Dune work. The trilogy consists of Timeweb (2006), The Web and the Stars (2007), and Webdancers (2008). The books are set in a galaxy connected by an ancient web of space-time that is beginning to deteriorate, threatening all intelligent life.
The series allowed Herbert to create his own science fiction universe with its own rules and mythology. While the Dune novels remain his best-known work, the Timeweb Chronicles shows his ability to build original worlds and tell large-scale science fiction stories independent of his father’s legacy.
