The Timegods’ World series represents L.E. Modesitt Jr.’s earliest published fiction. The Timegod appeared in 1982 (also published as The Fires of Paratime) and introduced a race of beings capable of traveling through and manipulating time. Timediver’s Dawn followed a decade later in 1992, serving as a prequel that explores the origins of the timedivers.
These books laid the groundwork for Modesitt’s career-long interest in characters who wield extraordinary power while grappling with the ethical weight of their choices.
