The WisCon Chronicles is a series of essay collections that grew out of the WisCon feminist science fiction convention. Laurie J. Marks has been involved as editor or co-editor on multiple volumes, starting with Volume 2 in 2008. The series covers topics from feminism and race to ableism and fandom, drawing on the discussions and presentations at the annual convention.
The ten volumes span from 2008 to 2017, with subtitles that indicate each volume’s focus – Provocative Essays on Feminism, Carnival of Feminist SF, Shattering Ableist Narratives, and Trials by Whiteness, among others. The series provides a record of how the science fiction community has engaged with social justice issues over the past two decades.
