The White Lion Chronicles was Christopher Hopper’s first published series, starting with Rise of the Dibor in 2006. The trilogy is set in the world of Dionia and follows a group of characters called to stand against a growing evil. The books draw on classic epic fantasy conventions, with a world-spanning conflict, chosen heroes, and mythic-scale battles.
The Lion Vrie followed in 2007, and Athera’s Dawn completed the trilogy in 2011. The series has a Christian fantasy sensibility, with themes of sacrifice, faith, and redemption running beneath the action. While Hopper has since moved primarily to science fiction, The White Lion Chronicles established his career and introduced many of his longtime readers to his work.
