The Survivors is Shana Galen’s flagship series, with over 30 books published since 2017. The premise is straightforward: a group of soldiers who survived the Napoleonic Wars return to England and try to figure out civilian life. Each book follows a different member of the group as he falls in love.
The series has room for variety because the heroes come from different backgrounds and ranks. Some are titled lords, others are common soldiers. What connects them is their shared wartime experience and the bonds they formed under fire. The heroines are equally varied, from society ladies to working women who shake up the heroes’ expectations.
