The Sisters of Lancaster County is a seven-book series that builds on and extends some of the stories from the Courtships of Lancaster County. Starting with Courting Cate in 2012, the series follows a group of Amish sisters as they face the challenges of growing up, finding love, and staying true to their faith.
Leslie Gould uses the sister dynamic to explore how the same upbringing can lead to very different choices. Each book gives a different sister’s perspective, and the later entries, like A Simple Singing and Faithful Gathering, bring the family’s story to a satisfying close.
