The Pleasure Wars is a four-book Regency romance series by Jess Michaels built around a feud between two powerful families. When members of the rival houses fall for each other, the conflict between family loyalty and desire drives each story. Taken by the Duke (2013) launches the series, with subsequent books pairing different members of the feuding families.
Pleasuring the Lady (2013) continues the feud with a new couple, while Beauty and the Earl (2014) brings an obvious fairy-tale twist to the Regency setting. Beautiful Distraction (2014) closes the series. Each book works as a standalone romance but reads better in sequence, since the family tensions build from one installment to the next.
Michaels has written extensively in Regency romance, and The Pleasure Wars shows her comfort with the period. The feud premise gives the series a structural hook that keeps the books connected beyond the usual “siblings finding love” framework.
