The O’Hurleys series follows four siblings raised by vaudeville performers who each grew up to pursue their own version of the spotlight. The books cover a Broadway dancer, a Hollywood actress, a single mother hiding from her past, and a brother who left the family to work in covert operations. Roberts published the first three books in 1988 and returned for the final installment in 1990.
Each sibling has a very different life, which gives the series nice variety. The family bond holds the books together, and readers will get the most out of the series by starting with The Last Honest Woman and reading through to Without a Trace.
