The Foundlings is Audrey Harrison’s three-book series about women who grew up without families and must make their own way in Regency society. Each novel follows a different heroine as she discovers her own worth and finds love along the way.
Rosalind (2015) starts the series, followed by The Foundling Lady (2017) and The Foundling Duke (2021). The six-year span between the first and last books means the series developed gradually, with Harrison returning to these characters over time rather than releasing them all at once.
The “foundling” premise gives these romances a different starting point from typical Regency stories. Instead of heroines born into established families, the protagonists here have to earn their place in society from the outside, which raises the stakes for both their social standing and their romantic prospects.
