The Doves of New York is Harper St. George’s newest historical romance series, set in the world of 1890s high society. The first book, The Stranger I Wed (2024), follows a young woman who enters a marriage of convenience, while the second, Eliza and the Duke (2025), pairs an American woman with a British duke.
Like St. George’s earlier Gilded Age Heiresses books, this series explores the transatlantic marriage market between wealthy American families and European aristocrats. The Doves of New York focuses on women who are part of a social circle in New York City, and each book follows a different member of the group. The series is still ongoing.
