The Douglas Trilogy covers the life of Sir James Douglas, one of Robert the Bruce’s most loyal and feared commanders during the Scottish Wars of Independence. The series spans from the early days of the conflict through its bloody conclusion.
Despite the “trilogy” name, the series actually contains four books, published between 2011 and 2016. These were among Tomlin’s earliest published novels and established her reputation as a writer of well-researched Scottish historical fiction.
