The Acostas! is Susan Stephens’ signature series for Harlequin Presents, following a wealthy Argentinian family with deep roots in the polo world. Starting with The Untamed Argentinean in 2011, each book focuses on a different Acosta sibling or family member as they meet their match. The series is set against the glamorous backdrop of professional polo, Argentine estancias, and high society.
The Acosta men are written as confident, physical heroes who spend their days on horseback and their evenings in luxury. The heroines who attract them tend to be strong-willed women who refuse to be intimidated by wealth or status. Later entries in the series, like Forbidden to Her Spanish Boss (2021) and Kidnapped for the Acosta Heir (2023), carry the family’s story into a new generation. The series also includes Christmas-themed entries, with Christmas Nights with the Polo Player and One Scandalous Christmas Eve adding holiday settings to the Acosta world.
