The Accelerati Trilogy begins when a boy sells off a collection of strange objects at a garage sale, not realizing they are Nikola Tesla’s lost inventions. Each item has dangerous powers, and a secret society called the Accelerati will stop at nothing to collect them all.
The series uses real scientists’ names in its titles — Tesla’s Attic, Edison’s Alley, and Hawking’s Hallway — and blends science history with adventure fiction. Published between 2014 and 2016, it shows Shusterman working in a lighter, more playful mode than his dystopian series.
