The Texas! Tyler Family Saga follows the three Tyler siblings, each getting their own book and their own love story. Texas! Lucky (1990) kicks things off with the eldest brother, Texas! Chase (1991) follows the middle sibling, and Texas! Sage (1991) wraps things up with the youngest. All three books are set in a small Texas town and deal with the family’s struggles to keep their business alive while sorting out their personal lives.
These were written during Sandra Brown’s transition from straight romance to romantic suspense, and they sit comfortably in the middle. There is plenty of romantic tension and small-town charm, but Brown also works in family drama and enough conflict to keep things moving. The trilogy was a hit with readers in the early 1990s and remains one of her most-requested series.
