The Tulane family of Tennessee is one of Kay Lyons Stockham’s most enduring fictional creations, appearing across five books that have been published, revised, and repackaged under three different names over the years. The original books came out under the Kay Stockham name through Harlequin and featured titles like Another Man’s Baby and His Son’s Teacher, firmly in the Superromance style — big emotions, family stakes, and small-town settings.
Later re-releases as Taming the Tulanes brought the series to a new audience with updated covers and the Kay Lyons branding. The stories follow individual Tulane siblings finding love despite (and sometimes because of) the complications their family name brings. She’s the One, the final book, sends travel writer Alexandra Tulane to Alaska, where she meets a bush pilot who isn’t impressed by the family pedigree.
