The Swanlea Spinsters series follows three sisters who have been labeled as unmarriageable by polite society, and the men who prove that assessment wrong. Running five books from “A Dangerous Love” (2000) through “Married to the Viscount” (2003), the series is one of Jeffries’ earlier Regency efforts.
Each book pairs one of the Swanlea women with a hero who initially seems like an unlikely match. “A Notorious Love” (2001) and “After the Abduction” (2002) develop the family dynamics while telling individual love stories. The series balance of family loyalty and romantic tension became a template for many of Jeffries’ later multi-book series.
