The Terok Nor trilogy tells the backstory of the Cardassian occupation of Bajor, the central historical event behind much of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The three books, Day of the Vipers, Night of the Wolves, and Dawn of the Eagles, were all published in 2008 and each covers a different era of the occupation. This is a multi-author trilogy within the larger DS9 novel line. Note that one entry in the list appears to be a misplaced duplicate from the Avatar series.
These prequel novels fill in the history that DS9 characters like Kira Nerys and Gul Dukat frequently referenced on the show. Readers familiar with the series will recognize many connections to established storylines. The trilogy can stand on its own, though it rewards viewers who know the television series well.
