The Spooksville series by Christopher Pike is a long-running children’s horror and adventure series set in a small town where supernatural events are a regular occurrence. Beginning with The Secret Path (1995), the series follows a group of young friends who confront ghosts, aliens, vampires, witches, and other threats across twenty-nine books.
The series was Pike’s answer to R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps, aimed at a slightly younger audience than his teen thrillers while maintaining his trademark sense of real danger. Spooksville was adapted into a television series in 2014, introducing the stories to a new generation of readers.
