Shaun David Hutchinson has published twelve standalone novels, most of them young adult fiction with science fiction or speculative elements. His debut, The Deathday Letter (2010), was followed by a steady stream of books that grew more ambitious and personal over time.
We Are the Ants (2016) became his breakout book, and subsequent novels like At the Edge of the Universe, The Apocalypse of Elena Mendoza, and A Complicated Love Story Set in Space continued his blend of genre fiction and emotional character work.
