The Shadowdance series is one of David Dalglish’s most popular works, spanning ten books published between 2010 and 2015. The series is set in a city controlled by rival thief guilds, with assassins operating in the shadows of a corrupt power structure. Haern the Watcher, the protagonist, is the son of a guild leader who turned against his own family to fight the criminal underworld.
The “Dance” titles (A Dance of Cloaks, A Dance of Blades, A Dance of Mirrors, A Dance of Shadows, A Dance of Ghosts, A Dance of Chaos) form the main sequence. The books include international editions in Bulgarian. Dalglish writes fast-paced action scenes with a focus on blade work and stealth, making the Shadowdance series his most action-oriented work.
