The Seychelle Sullivan series follows a tugboat captain working the Intracoastal Waterway and harbors of Fort Lauderdale. Seychelle is tough, independent, and knows the water better than anyone, which is both an asset and a liability when bodies start turning up. Surface Tension (2002) opens the series, and four more books followed through 2017.
Christine Kling writes the ocean and the boating world with the authority of someone who has lived it. The series is as much about the culture of South Florida’s waterfront, its marinas, liveaboards, and working watermen, as it is about the crimes.
