The Seth Sessions collect the raw transcripts of Jane Roberts’ trance sessions with the entity she called Seth. Roberts began receiving messages from Seth in late 1963, with her husband Robert Butts recording each session in longhand and later typing them up. While Roberts published several edited volumes during her lifetime (Seth Speaks, The Nature of Personal Reality), these session books present the unedited material in chronological order.
The collection is divided into three subseries. The Early Sessions (nine volumes, published 1997-2003) cover the earliest years of the channeling work. The Personal Sessions (seven volumes, 2003-2006) contain material that Roberts and Butts chose not to include in the published books, offering a more private look at the sessions. The Early Class Sessions (four volumes, all published in 2017) transcribe Seth’s appearances during the weekly ESP classes Roberts held in her Elmira, New York apartment from 1967 to the early 1970s. Together, the twenty volumes form the most complete record of the Seth Material available.
