S.D. Perry’s standalone novels show the range of her tie-in work across different media. Her earliest efforts, Timecop and Virus, adapted action and horror films from the 1990s. She later wrote a Wonder Woman prose novel for DC Comics and tried her hand at original fiction with The Summer Man, a horror story set in a small coastal town.
Her more recent standalones reflect the growing market for video game and movie tie-in fiction. The Uncharted movie novelization and Marvel’s Midnight Suns: Infernal Rising both appeared in 2022. These books can be read in any order since each is a self-contained story with no shared continuity.
