Scott Medbury’s standalone novels move away from the post-apocalyptic survival fiction that makes up most of his catalog, exploring science fiction concepts in a more contained format.
Sinthetica (2016) deals with artificial humans — androids so convincing they are indistinguishable from real people — and what happens when that technology exists in the real world. It shares thematic DNA with his later Redux Protocol series. Inga (2020) continues his interest in the intersection of technology and humanity. Both novels are self-contained stories that can be read independently of his other work.
