Andrew Kaplan’s Scorpion series spans four fiction books published between 1985 and 2013. The first book, simply titled Scorpion, came out in 1985, and the series then picked back up nearly three decades later with Scorpion Betrayal and Scorpion Winter in 2012, followed by Scorpion Deception in 2013.
That long gap between the original novel and the trilogy of follow-ups is unusual.
