The Scorned by the Gods series reimagines Greek mythology through an urban fantasy lens. Each book centers on a woman who was harmed by the gods and is preparing to fight back. In The Sphinx, published in 2018, Asa was once romantically involved with Ares, the god of war. After he abandoned and cursed her, she spent years trapped as the monster that terrorized Thebes. She found a loophole in the curse and has since been building a weapon capable of taking down a god.
Daughter of Medusa shifts to Delilah, the secret daughter of Medusa who was raised in another realm by protective witches. She could never look into her own mother’s eyes, and if her father discovered she existed, he would have called for her death. When her powers awaken and the gods begin returning to Earth, Delilah must decide whether to seek justice for what was done to her mother. The two books share themes of betrayal, survival, and women reclaiming power from those who took it away.
