Rudy Rucker’s anthology appearances trace the history of cyberpunk and speculative fiction from the 1980s to the 2010s. Mirrorshades (1986) is the defining cyberpunk anthology, and Rucker’s presence in it placed him firmly in the movement’s core alongside William Gibson, Bruce Sterling, and Pat Cadigan.
Later appearances in Year’s Best SF 11, Golden Age SF, and Hieroglyph show his continued relevance across changing trends in science fiction. His anthology work spans mathematical fiction, hard SF, and the more experimental edges of the genre.
