Rosemary Sullivan edited several influential anthologies of Canadian women’s writing across two decades. Starting with Elements of Fiction (1982), she compiled collections of stories and poetry that helped bring wider attention to Canadian women writers.
The Oxford Book of Stories by Canadian Women in English (1999) is the most substantial of these anthologies. Her editorial work runs parallel to her own writing career and reflects her academic focus on Canadian literature.
