Rogue Winter is the second installment in the shared novella universe created by Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot. Set during the holiday season in the same small Oregon town from the Rogue River series, these two novellas follow county investigator Seth Harding as a Christmas homicide disrupts his plans to spend the holidays with his newly reconciled family. The victim turns out to be his brother-in-law’s girlfriend, pulling Seth into a case that hits uncomfortably close to home.
The winter setting adds atmosphere to the suspense, and the shorter novella format keeps both entries focused and fast. Readers who enjoyed the Rogue River novellas will find familiar faces here, along with the same blend of small-town tension and romantic subplots that defined the first set.
