Continuum (2020) opened Riven Worlds as Jennsen’s first multi-cast crossover, bringing together the two sets of protagonists developed across nine Aurora Rhapsody novels and three Asterion Noir books. Inversion (2020), Echo Rift (2021), All Our Tomorrows (2021), Chaotica (2022), and Duality (2023) continued the sequence across four years.
The six-book structure gives Riven Worlds the scope to develop both the inherited character relationships from the prior series and the new conflicts that drive the crossover. For readers who have followed the full Amaranthe universe, Riven Worlds rewards the investment in both prior series; readers who have only completed Aurora Rhapsody can follow the story but will have less context for the Asterion characters.
Riven Worlds concludes before the Shadows & Light trilogy, which Jennsen has described as the final arc of the 25-book Amaranthe saga.
