Return to Red River continues the Bjorklund family story that began in Lauraine Snelling’s Red River of the North series. Set in the early 1900s, this trilogy follows the younger generation as they grow up in the community their parents and grandparents built on the Dakota prairie. The challenges have shifted from raw survival to questions about education, careers, and what it means to stay rooted in a place that is changing.
A Dream to Follow (2001) opens the trilogy as the Bjorklund descendants face choices about their futures. Believing the Dream and More Than a Dream round out the story, published across 2002 and 2003. Snelling keeps the same warm, faith-centered tone as the original series while giving new characters room to make their own mistakes and find their own paths.
