The Redeeming Trilogy, also called Reclaiming the Sand, is a two-book series by A. Meredith Walters. Reclaiming the Sand came out in 2014 and tells the story of a woman confronting the person she used to be, particularly the cruelty she showed to a boy on the autism spectrum when they were younger.
Chasing the Tide followed later that year and continues the theme of trying to build something better after a rough start. Both books are relatively short and pack a lot of emotional weight into their pages.
