Rajia Hassib has published two standalone novels. In the Language of Miracles (2015) is set in a New Jersey suburb where an Egyptian-American family faces community suspicion after their neighbor’s daughter dies. A Pure Heart (2019) splits its story between New York and post-revolution Cairo, following two sisters whose lives take very different directions.
Both novels share Hassib’s interest in how people define themselves when caught between cultures, but each stands on its own as a complete story.
