Phoebe Robinson’s non-fiction books are personal, funny, and direct. You Can’t Touch My Hair (2016) kicked things off, and she followed it up with Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay in 2018 and Please Don’t Sit on My Bed in Your Outside Clothes in 2021. Each title has Robinson’s voice front and center, mixing humor with observations on everyday life.
These three books work fine on their own, but reading them in order lets you see how Robinson’s writing has changed over the years. The titles alone give a pretty good sense of what you’re getting into.
