Phil Foglio’s graphic novel work extends beyond Girl Genius to include adaptations and collaborations. His earliest graphic novel credit is “Myth Adventures One” (1984), an illustrated adaptation of Robert Asprin’s humorous fantasy novel “Another Fine Myth.” Foglio’s art style was well suited to Asprin’s comedic fantasy world.
The graphic novels section also includes illustrated editions of the Girl Genius prose novels, connecting Foglio’s work across formats. His visual storytelling has been a constant throughout his career, whether adapting other writers’ stories or telling his own. Foglio’s distinctive, expressive art has made him one of the most recognizable illustrators in science fiction and fantasy comics.
